What Every Church Leader Needs to Know…The Awesome Instinct

Before you decide to attend one of our seminars or make a phone call to inquire, you may want to read and understand what we believe every church leader must know. We like to call it the Awesome Instinct of Church Marketing.

Dictionaries define instinct as “what evokes organisms to action”. From a marketing perspective we define awesome instinct as those things that lead people to react one way or another about your ministry.  In our seminars we talk about the three things that make up awesome instinct. In this reading, we will focus on one element… value.

First you must realize we live in a value-conscious society. Everyone makes decisions based on what they perceive as value to them. What does that mean to the church?

When faced with the awesome task of growing a church, increasing attendance or simply publicizing a new ministry, it is imperative that you understand and appreciate that potential new members pay the most attention to what is in it for them.

This idea may sound extremely far fetched in the context of a church but the reality of the world we live in makes it just that simple. Research shows that today’s attitude toward selecting a church, maintaining membership at a church and inviting others to visit relies heavily on perceived value.

As you explore how to communicate your message, invite others to participate and bring the Word to those that may not be actively a part of a ministry, you would be wise to take the time to focus on the elements that make up Awesome Instinct. We look forward to exploring this with you at your seminar.

Warmly,

Lynette Hawkins
